HOMICIDE - GUNSHOT

VICTIM: ISABEL MARCELINO-SANCHEZ
LOCATION: LAKEWOOD, NEW JERSEY

On July 22, 2006, two unknown subjects entered 710 River Avenue in Lakewood. When on the second floor, they met Claudia Hernandez (witness) and Isabel Marcelino-Sanchez (victim).

Subject 1 placed a gun to the head of Hernandez and demanded money. Hernandez then heard a gunshot. Subject 2 then entered the room and pointed a shotgun at Hernandez, demanding money. Subject 2 grabbed Hernandez’s purse and both subjects then left the premises.

Hernandez found Marcelino-Sanchez alive on the floor of the bedroom but unable to speak due to a gunshot wound to her abdomen. Marcelino-Sanchez succumbed to her injuries thereafter.

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office is asking anyone that may have any information or knowledge on the death of Isabel Marcelino-Sanchez to please contact the Ocean County Major Crimes Unit 732-929-2027.

The case was handled by members of The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and Detective Sergeant Robert Humeny of the Lakewood Township Police Department, Detective Bureau.

HOMICIDE - STRANGULATION

VICTIM: GABRIELLE MUELLER (AGE 31)
LOCATION: LAKEWOOD, NEW JERSEY

On Monday morning, April 2, 2001, a missing person’s report was filed with the Toms River Police Department for Toms River mother of two, Gabrielle Mueller, last seen alive during the evening hours of Sunday, April 1, 2001.

On April 3, 2001, a body was discovered in a wooded area off Salem Street in Lakewood, in close proximity to the Lakewood Industrial Park. The body was identified to be Gabrielle Mueller. On April 4, 2001, her Blue Toyota Corolla was discovered in Lakewood. The autopsy performed on Mueller’s body revealed that her cause of death was strangulation.

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office is asking anyone that may have any information or knowledge on the death of Mueller to please contact the Ocean County Major Crimes Unit 732-929-2027.

The case was handled by members of The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and Captain Greg Staffordsmith with the Lakewood Township Police Department, Detective Bureau.
