Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that on October 7, 2024, Michael Trimarchi, 55, of Manchester Township, was charged with Sexual Assault and Criminal Sexual Contact in connection with an incident that occurred in Manchester Township on August 10, 2022.
On September 6, 2024, a female victim contacted the Manchester Township Police Department to report that she was sexually assaulted by Trimarchi on August 10, 2022. An investigation conducted by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victim’s Unit confirmed that Trimarchi did, in fact, sexually assault the victim while she was sitting in a motor vehicle on the date in question.
On October 7, 2024, Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office executed a court-authorized search warrant on Trimarchi’s residence. Trimarchi was taken into custody at the residence without incident. Trimarchi was transported to the Ocean County Jail, where he remains lodged pending a detention hearing.

Prosecutor Billhimer acknowledges the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office, for their combined and collective efforts in connection with this investigation.
