HACKENSACK MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO ELUDING

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that on November 17, 2025, Ally Golo, 41, of Hackensack, New Jersey, pled guilty to Eluding before the Honorable Kimarie Rahill, J.S.C., in connection with an incident that occurred in Brick Township on April 27, 2021.  At the time of his sentencing on March 27, 2026, the State will be seeking a term of five years New Jersey State Prison.

On April 27, 2021, Brick Township Police Officers observed a blue Chevrolet Malibu commit multiple motor vehicle violations, nearly causing a crash. Officers attempted to effectuate a motor vehicle stop; the Malibu – operated by Golo – fled the Officers at a high rate of speed, ignoring their signals to stop and repeatedly crossing into the oncoming traffic lane.  Golo attempted to turn onto Godfrey Lake Drive when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a guardrail before continuing to flee.  Shortly thereafter, the Malibu crashed into a parked car near the Maple Leaf Condominiums.  The pursuit continued onto Sawmill Road where Golo finally brought the vehicle to a stop and attempted to flee on foot.  Officers pursued Golo and ultimately took him into custody.  Golo was transported to the Ocean County Jail and subsequently released as a consequence of New Jersey Bail Reform.

Prosecutor Billhimer acknowledges the diligent efforts of Assistant Prosecutor Emma Hurst who is handling the case on behalf of the State, and commends the Brick Township Police Department for their efforts in connection with this investigation leading to Golo’s arrest, guilty plea, and soon his state prison sentence.
