Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that on December 17, 2025, Darnell Williams, 34, of Manchester Township, was indicted by a Grand Jury sitting in Ocean County on the charges of Sexual Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
An investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and Manchester Township Police Department revealed that between the years of 2010 and 2013, Williams sexually assaulted a minor female victim who was in his care in Manchester. Williams was charged with the aforementioned offenses on September 17, 2025, and served with the charges at the Atlantic County Jail, where he is presently detained on three counts of Sexual Assault, three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and three counts of Official Misconduct – all in connection with incidents that occurred in Atlantic County.
On October 6, 2025, Williams was additionally charged with two counts of Criminal Sexual Contact and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child following an investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, Manchester Township Police Department, and Stafford Township Police Department, which revealed that between 2020 and 2023, Williams inappropriately touched a minor female victim in Manchester and Stafford Townships. Williams was served with the charges at the Atlantic County Jail. Those charges remain pending.
Prosecutor Billhimer acknowledges the diligent efforts of Assistant Prosecutor Lynn Juan who presented the case to the Grand Jury on behalf of the State, and commends the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Squad, Manchester Township Police Department Detective Bureau, Stafford Township Police Department, Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, and Hamilton Township Police Department, for their combined assistance in connection with this investigation.
The charges referenced above are merely accusations and the press and public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
