Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force collaborated with the United States Postal Inspection Service, Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Brick Township Police Department Street Crimes Unit, and Allentown Police Department, to conduct a three month-long investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics in Ocean County. This cooperative, multi-agency investigation identified a residence in Allentown and a storage facility in Trenton as being utilized by Gary Johnson, 45, of Allentown, to store and distribute cocaine, marijuana, THC products, and psilocybin.
On May 28, 2025, Detectives from the aforementioned agencies established surveillance on the subject residence in Allentown. Detectives observed Johnson travel from the residence to Asbury Park. As Johnson exited his vehicle in Asbury Park, he was taken into custody without incident.
Detectives subsequently executed court-authorized search warrants on the residence in Allentown and the storage facility in Trenton. As a result, Detectives seized approximately 600 grams of Cocaine, 34.5 pounds of Marijuana, three pounds of THC products, 47 ounces of Psilocybin, and $60,000 in United States currency.
Johnson was charged with Distribution of More than Five Pounds but Less than 25 Pounds of Marijuana, Possession of More than 25 Pounds of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Conspiracy to Distribute More than 25 Pounds of Marijuana, Possession of More than Five Ounces of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of More than One Pound but Less than Five Pounds of Hashish with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Psilocybin with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Psilocybin, Possession of a Firearm during a Controlled Dangerous Substance Offense, Financial Facilitation, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Johnson was transported to the Ocean County Jail where he is presently lodged pending a detention hearing.

The charges referenced above are merely accusations and the press and public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
