Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that on September 22, 2026, the Honorable Pamela M. Snyder, J.S.C., ordered that William Garvin, 67, of Barnegat Township, shall remain detained in the Ocean County Jail on the charge of Murder in connection with the death of his wife, Eileen Garvin, 69, also of Barnegat Township, on September 7, 2026, in Barnegat.
The detention hearing was handled by Supervising Assistant Prosecutor Alyssa Mandara.
The charges referenced above are merely accusations and the press and public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
