Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that on April 9, 2024, the Honorable Dina M. Vicari, J.S.C., ordered that Joseph Asfor, 45, of Berkeley Township, shall remain detained in the Ocean County Jail pending trial on charges Possession of Child Pornography and Obstruction of Justice.
Asfor has been lodged in the Ocean County Jail since his apprehension on March 27, 2024. The detention hearing was handled by Assistant Prosecutor Madeline Buczynski.
The charges referenced above are merely accusations and the press and public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
