BRICK TOWNSHIP MAN CHARGED WITH NARCOTICS DISTRIBUTION

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force collaborated with the Brick Township Police Department Street Crimes Unit, Brick Township Police Department Patrol Division, and Point Pleasant Borough Police Department Detective Bureau, to conduct a two month-long investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics in the Ocean County area.  This cooperative, multi-agency investigation identified a residence in Brick Township as being utilized by Brandon O’Shea, 40, of Brick Township, to store and distribute cocaine and marijuana.

 

On May 9, 2024, Detectives from the aforementioned law enforcement agencies established stationary and mobile surveillance on the subject residence in Brick Township.  Detectives observed O’Shea exit the residence, enter his motor vehicle, and leave the area.  A short time later, Officers from the Brick Township Police Department effectuated a motor vehicle stop on the vehicle that O’Shea was operating.  O’Shea was taken into custody without incident.

 

Detectives subsequently executed a court-authorized search warrant on the subject residence.  As a result, Detectives seized approximately 100 grams of cocaine, 80 grams of methamphetamine, eight grams of heroin, more than five pounds of marijuana and THC products, and $333,000 in United States Currency.

 

O’Shea was charged with Possession of One Half Ounce or More of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of One Half Ounce or More of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Five Pounds or More of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Less than One Half Ounce of Heroin with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute within 1000 feet of a School, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute within 1000 feet of a School, Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute within 1000 feet of a School, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute within 1000 feet of a School, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Financial Facilitation.  O’Shea was transported to the Ocean County Jail and subsequently released as a consequence of New Jersey Bail Reform.

 

Prosecutor Billhimer commends the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Asset Forfeiture Unit, Brick Township Police Department Street Crimes Unit, Brick Township Police Department Patrol Division, Brick Township Police Department Special Emergency Response Team, and Point Pleasant Borough Police Department Detective Bureau, for their combined and collective assistance in connection with this investigation.

 

The charges referenced above are merely accusations and the press and public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
