An investigation by the Jackson Township Police Department Special Enforcement Unit determined that Montgomery was utilizing a storage facility in Jackson Township to store and distribute illegal narcotics. En Agosto 10, 2024, Detectives established stationary and mobile surveillance on the subject storage facility. Detectives observed Montgomery arrive at the storage facility and leave a short time later in his motor vehicle. Detectives effectuated a motor vehicle stop on the vehicle being operated by Montgomery for failure to use a turn signal. During the course of the motor vehicle stop, Detectives were able to establish that Montgomery’s driving privileges were suspended and Montgomery was placed under arrest without incident. In a search incident to his arrest, Montgomery was found to be in possession of a large amount of Cocaine.
Después, Detectives executed court-authorized search warrants on Montgomery’s vehicle and the storage facility in Jackson. Como resultado, Detectives seized additional amounts of cocaine and approximately 100 oxycodone pills. Montgomery was charged accordingly and transported to the Ocean County Jail, where he was subsequently released as a consequence of New Jersey Bail Reform.
Prosecutor Billhimer acknowledges the diligent efforts of Assistant Prosecutor Genna Moscato and Assistant Prosecutor Alex Becker who are handling the case on behalf of the State, and commends the Jackson Township Police Department and Jackson Township Police Department Special Enforcement Unit for their efforts in connection with this investigation.
