El fiscal del condado de Ocean, Bradley D.. Billhimer anunció que en junio 12, 2021, Avrohom Pam, 18, de Lakewood, was charged with Vehicular Homicide in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:11-5a, relative to a motor vehicle crash that occurred in Lakewood Township in the early evening hours of June 11, 2021 – resulting in the death of Sean Avon, 26, del municipio de ladrillo.
En Junio 11, 2021, aproximadamente a 5:15 pm., Lakewood Township Police were summoned to the area of Lanes Mills Road for a report of a serious motor vehicle crash. An investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Vehicular Homicide Squad, Lakewood Township Police Department and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, revealed that Pam was driving a 2021 Ford Van en el carril de circulación más a la derecha en Lanes Mills Road, cuando golpeó un 2019 Honda CRV conducida por John Arendt, Jr., 73, del municipio de ladrillo. Arendt was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for treatment of his injuries; he is listed in stable condition. Pam remained on the scene and did not require medical attention. Pam was transported to Ocean Medical Center for a blood draw, pursuant to a court authorized warrant. Pam was subsequently processed at Lakewood Township Police Headquarters and transported to the Ocean County Jail where he is currently lodged pending a detention hearing.
