LITTLE EGG HARBOR MURDER/SUICIDE VICTIM IDENTIFIED

Billhimer announced that the victim in the murder/suicide that occurred in Little Egg Harbor Township on July 29, 2023, has been identified as Kimberly Hoffman, 49, del municipio de Little Egg Harbor. The suspect has been identified as Ms. Hoffman’s ex-husband, Carl Schulz, Jr., 52, also of Little Egg Harbor Township.

 

En julio 29, 2023, aproximadamente a 5:10 soy., Officers from the Little Egg Harbor Township Police Department responded to a residence on Whitemarsh Court in reference to a 911 llamar; the caller stated that she believed someone was breaking into her apartment. Responding Officers made forced entry into the apartment, where they located the deceased body of Ms. Hoffman with an apparent gunshot wound to the face. A deceased dog with apparent gunshot wounds was located in the apartment as well. Además, Officers discovered the body of Schulz with an apparent gunshot wound to his head. Schulzwho was conscious when police arrivedwas transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, donde luego sucumbió a sus heridas.

 

Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit and Little Egg Harbor Township Police Department responded to the scene for purposes of conducting an investigation. The investigation revealed that Schulz shot Ms. Hoffman, and the dog, before turning the gun on himself.
