An investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Squad identified an IP address associated with a Manchester Township residence as the location from which the individual was sending/receiving images of child pornography from the internet – utilizing a Kik Messenger account. Further investigation into those Kik Messenger accounts resulted in Detectives locating images and videos of child sexual abuse material which had been uploaded and sent by Ommundsen via Kik.
Durante el transcurso de la investigación, it was determined that Ommundsen had been arrested in Reynoldsville, Pensilvania, on an unrelated charge and that he was currently incarcerated in Pennsylvania. It was also determined that Ommundsen’s cellular phone was being held in evidence by the Reynoldsville Police Department. Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Squad executed a court-authorized search warrant to retrieve and examine Ommundsen’s cellular phone. A forensic examination of the device revealed images of child sexual abuse material and two Kik Messenger accounts belonging to Ommundsen.
En octubre 21, 2025, Ommundsen was charged with the offenses referenced above; he will be served with same by way of warrant at the Jefferson County (Pensilvania) Jail by Detectives from the United States Department of Homeland Security Investigations.
