OFF-DUTY TOMS RIVER POLICE OFFICER PLEADS GUILTY TO BURGLARY, TRAVESURA DE CRIMINAL, AND SIMPLE ASSAULT

Además, Sayegh was required to forfeit her position as a Toms River Township Police Officer effective November 17, 2025, and has forfeited all future public employment in the State of New Jersey.

 

En abril 25, 2025, aproximadamente a 11:20 pm., Los oficiales del Departamento de Policía del municipio de Berkeley respondieron a una residencia en la avenida Evernhan para un informe de un disturbio doméstico. Responding Officers discovered Sayegh – Un oficial de policía de Toms River Township de Toms River – had smashed the front glass door and entered the residence. It was determined that Sayegh also damaged the hood of a vehicle belonging to one of the victims which was parked in the driveway. Sayegh was located at the scene and was taken into custody after having resisted efforts to peacefully place her under arrest. She was released from the Ocean County Jail as a consequence of New Jersey Bail Reform.

 

Prosecutor Billhimer acknowledges the diligent efforts of Chief Assistant Prosecutor Michael Abatemarco who is handling the case on behalf of the State, and commends the Berkeley Township and Toms River Police Departments for their efforts in connection with this investigation.
