The Seaside Heights boardwalk was temporarily evacuated as law enforcement assessed the credibility of the threats, and utilized K-9’s to perform bomb searches. An investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit-Arson Squad, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Homeland Security Squad, Departamento de policía de Seaside Heights, Oficina del Sheriff del condado de Ocean, Ocean County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit, y la Unidad K-9 de la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Monmouth, determined that the threats were not legitimate.
