TOMS RIVER MAN FOUND GUILTY OF POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE NARCOTICS

El fiscal del condado de Ocean, Bradley D.. Billhimer anunció que en marzo 21, 2022, John Williams, 56, del río Toms, was found guilty following a jury trial of Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute in violation of NJSA. 2C:35-5a(1) y NJSA. 2C:35-5b(3); Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute in violation of NJSA. 2C:35-5a(1) y NJSA. 2C:35-5b(2); Posesión de cocaína en violación de NJSA. 2C:35-10a(1); and Possession of a Compound of Heroin, Fentanyl and 4-ANPP in violation of NJSA. 2C:35-10a(1). The case was tried before the Honorable Guy P. ryan, J.S.C., who has scheduled Williams’ sentencing for May 13, 2022.

 

En noviembre 10, 2020, Detectives from the Lakewood Township Police Department Street Crimes Unit observed Williams and a second individual in a parking lot between 2nd and 3rd Streetscrouched behind two motor vehicles for approximately 30 seconds. The second individual subsequently walked away from the scene. Detectives approached Williams and detected an odor of raw marijuana emanating from his person. A subsequent search of Williams based upon the odor of marijuana resulted in the recovery of 164 wax folds of a compound of heroin, fentanyl and 4-ANPP, aproximadamente 17 gramos de cocaína, una cantidad de marihuana, a digital scale, plastic baggies, y aproximadamente $1,250 en moneda de estados unidos. Williams was taken into custody and transported to the Ocean County Jail, where he has remained since the date of his arrest. He will continue to remain lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending sentencing.
