FOUR INDIVIDUALS CHARGED WITH NARCOTICS DISTRIBUTION

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force collaborated with the Federal Bureau of Investigation-Red Bank Jersey Shore Safe Streets Task Force, New Jersey State Police Emergency Services Unit, Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Mercer County Tactical Response Team, Hamilton Township Police Department Special Emergency Response Team, Ocean County Sheriff’s Office, Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Judicial Services Unit, Ocean County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit, Toms River Township Police Department, Toms River Township Police Department Emergency Services Unit, Toms River Special Enforcement Team, Berkeley Township Police Department Detective Bureau, and Lacey Township Police Department Detective Bureau, to conduct a three- month-long investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics in Ocean County.  This cooperative, multi-agency investigation identified Nasir King, 18, of Hamilton, New Jersey, as an individual who was distributing heroin in the Ocean County area.

 

On July 29, 2025, Detectives from the aforementioned agencies established surveillance on King as he traveled from his residence in Hamilton to Toms River.  Detectives observed King and a passenger in the vehicle, later identified as Asante Walker, 24, of Trenton, arrive at a business on Route 37.  Detectives further observed King meet with an individual, later identified as Darrell Salter, 59, of Lacey Township, in the parking lot of the establishment.  Detectives approached King, Walker, and Salter, and they were taken into custody without incident.  Subsequently, Detectives executed court-authorized search warrants on King’s vehicle and two residences in Trenton.  As a result, Detectives seized approximately 1,250 individual doses of heroin, one gram of cocaine and $1,322 in United States Currency.  Jesselin Garcia, 18, of Trenton, was present at one of the residences in Trenton and taken into custody without incident.

 

During the course of the investigation, Detectives seized an additional 2,250 individual doses of heroin.

 

Nasir King was charged with Distribution of  More than One Half Ounce but Less than Five Ounces of Heroin, Possession of More than One Half Ounce but Less than Five Ounces of Heroin with Intent to Distribute, Conspiracy to Possess More than One Half Ounce but Less than Five Ounces of Heroin with Intent to Distribute, Conspiracy to Possess Less than One Half Ounce but Less than Five Ounces of Crack Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, two counts of Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and  Wandering to Obtain/Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance.  King was transported to the Ocean County Jail and subsequently released as a consequence of New Jersey Bail Reform.

 

Asante Walker was charged with Conspiracy to Possess More than One Half Ounce but Less than Five Ounces of Heroin with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Crack Cocaine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Walker was served with the charges via summons pending an upcoming first appearance in Ocean County Superior Court.

 

Darrell Salter was charged with Conspiracy to Possess More than One Half Ounce but Less than Five Ounces of Heroin with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Heroin, and Wandering to Obtain/Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance.  Salter was served with the charges via summons pending an upcoming first appearance in Ocean County Superior Court.

 

Jesselin Garcia was charged with Distribution of Less than One Half Ounce of Heroin and Conspiracy to Possess More than One Half Ounce but Less than Five Ounces of Heroin with Intent to Distribute.  Garcia was served with the charges via summons pending an upcoming first appearance in Ocean County Superior Court.
