Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that on September 2, 2024, the four year-old child that suffered an accidental submersion in a swimming pool in South Seaside Park on August 30, 2024, passed away at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
On August 30, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Officers from the Berkeley Township Police Department, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in South Seaside Park for a report that a four year-old male had been removed from a swimming pool and found to be unresponsive. Emergency life-saving techniques were performed on the child, and he was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with this child’s parents, family and friends at this most difficult time,” Prosecutor Billhimer stated.
