SEASIDE HEIGHTS RESIDENTS CHARGED WITH NARCOTICS DISTRIBUTION

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force collaborated with the Seaside Heights Police Department Detective Bureau and Seaside Heights Police Department Patrol Division to conduct an investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics in the Ocean County area.  This two-month-long investigation identified a residence in Seaside Heights as being utilized by Jimmey Bryant, Jr., and Ceeyanna Pringle, to store and distribute narcotics.

 

On March 18, 2022, Detectives from the Ocean County Narcotics Strike Force, Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, Seaside Heights Police Department Detective Bureau, Seaside Heights Police Department Patrol Division, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, executed a court-authorized search warrant on the subject residence. As a result, Detectives seized 20 grams of cocaine powder, 20 grams of crack cocaine, a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun, a conducted energy device, and a digital scale.  Bryant and Pringle were subsequently arrested at the residence.

 

In furtherance of the investigation, a search of a nearby residence was conducted.  As a result, Detectives seized a semi-automatic handgun with a loaded 30 round magazine.  Additional charges are forthcoming as a result of this search.

 

Jimmey Bryant, Jr., 22, of Seaside Heights, was charged with Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(2); Possession of more than One Ounce of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(11); Possession of Cocaine in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); Possession of a Weapon while Committing a Controlled Dangerous Substance Offense in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4.1a; Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance Within 1000 feet of School Property in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-7a; Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance within 500 feet of a Public Park in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-7.1a; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:36-2a. Additionally, Bryant was found to have two outstanding arrest warrants for Aggravated Assault with a Weapon in connection with an unrelated incident that occurred in Seaside Heights in March 2021.  Bryant is currently lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

 

Ceeyanna Pringle, 18, of Seaside Heights, was charged with Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(2); Possession of more than One Ounce of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(11); Possession of Cocaine in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); Possession of a Weapon while Committing a Controlled Dangerous Substance Offense in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4.1a; Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance Within 1000 feet of  School Property in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C: 35-7a; Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance within 500 feet of a Public Park in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-7.1a; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:36-2a.  Pringle was charged on a summons and released pending a further court appearance.

 

Prosecutor Billhimer commends the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Asset Forfeiture Unit, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Regional SWAT Team, Seaside Heights Police Department Detective Bureau, Seaside Heights Police Department Patrol Division and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, for their combined and collective efforts in connection with this investigation.

 

The charges referenced above are merely accusations and the press and public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
