Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that on December 6, 2023, the Honorable Kenneth T. Palmer, J.S.C., ordered that William Gleason, 68, of South Toms River, shall remain detained in the Ocean County Jail pending trial on charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault, Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact, and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Gleason has been lodged in the Ocean County Jail since his apprehension on November 25, 2023. The detention hearing was handled by Supervising Assistant Prosecutor Christine Lento.
The charges referenced above are merely accusations and the press and public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
