Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Surf City Police Chief John N. Casella, Jr., announced that the two deceased individuals discovered at a residence in Surf City on October 3, 2021, have been positively identified as John Enders, 87, of Surf City, and Francoise Pitoy, 75, of Manchester.
“This is an active and ongoing investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Surf City Police Department, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit. As we stated earlier, both deaths are suspicious in nature but there is no danger to the public at this time. Our investigation indicates this was a targeted attack against both decedents,” Prosecutor Billhimer stated. “We will be able to release more information once post-mortem examinations have been completed,” Prosecutor Billhimer concluded.
