TUCKERTON MAN CHARGED WITH DISTRIBUTION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that on April 16, 2025, Reuben Tallman, 62, of Tuckerton, was charged with two counts of Distribution of Child Pornography and one count of Possession of Child Pornography.

This investigation was the result of a referral from the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.  The ICAC Task Force received a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that an individual was uploading images of child pornography via an internet application.

An investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit identified an IP address associated with a Tuckerton residence as the location from which the individual was accessing images of Child Pornography from the internet.  That individual was ultimately identified as Tallman.

On April 10, 2025, Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit, Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, United States Department of Homeland Security Investigations, and Borough of Tuckerton Police Department, executed a court-authorized search warrant on Tallman’s residence.  Detectives were advised by an occupant of the residence that Tallman was at his place of employment in Deal, New Jersey.  On that same day, Detectives executed a court-authorized search warrant for a search of Tallman relative to electronic devices on his person at his place of employment.  As a result, Detectives seized Tallman’s cell phone.  A forensic examination of Tallman’s cell phone by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit determined that Tallman had utilized an application on his phone to send child pornography to other users.

On April 16, 2025, Tallman surrendered himself to Tuckerton Police Headquarters and was served with the charges by way of complaint-warrant.  He was transported to the Ocean County Jail where he is presently lodged pending a detention hearing.

Prosecutor Billhimer commends the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit, United States Department of Homeland Security Investigations, Borough of Tuckerton Police Department, Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, for their collaborative assistance in connection with this investigation leading to Tallman’s arrest.

The charges referenced above are merely accusations and the press and public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
