FOUR INDIANA MEN CHARGED WITH MURDER AND CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT MURDER TO REMAIN DETAINED PENDING TRIAL

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that on February 6, 2025, the Honorable Wendel E. Daniels, J.S.C. (retired and temporarily assigned on recall), ordered that Nirmal Singh, 30, Gaurav Singh, 27, Gurdeep Singh, 22, and Sourav Kumar, 23, all of Greenwood, Indiana, shall remained detained in the Ocean County Jail on charges of Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder in connection with the death of Kuldeep Kumar, 35, of India, in Manchester Township on or about October 22, 2024.

 

The defendants have been lodged in the Ocean County Jail since their extradition to Ocean County, New Jersey, on January 26, 2025, from Johnson County Jail in Franklin, Indiana.  The detention hearings were handled by Supervising Assistant Prosecutor Meghan O’Neill and Supervising Assistant Prosecutor Mara Brater.

 

The charges referenced above are merely accusations and the press and public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
