Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor

Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor Michael R. Weatherstone earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Montclair State University in 1993. In 2000, Executive Assistant Prosecutor Weatherstone earned his law degree from Rutgers University. He was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 2001.

In 2001, former Ocean County Prosecutor E. David Millard appointed Mr. Weatherstone to be an Assistant Ocean County Prosecutor. Over the last 24 years, Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor Weatherstone has served the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office with distinction and professionalism in numerous capacities, including Chief Legal Advisor to the Major Crime Unit, Chief Trial Attorney, Executive Assistant Prosecutor and has tried numerous high-profile cases on behalf of the State. In September 2025, Mr. Weatherstone was elevated to the position of Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor by Prosecutor Billhimer.

Deputy First Assistant Weatherstone is a member of the Ocean County Bar Association.
